The hurricane Helene flood that affected the families of Cocke County was unprecedented. We have faith that the response of God’s people will also be unprecedented. We pray that you will consider partnering with our ministry on this project to love on our neighbors who are hurting.
Many neighbors have lost their homes entirely, while others have tremendous damage, and others just need minimal help to get things put back together.
We have a tremendous opportunity to show our neighbors the love of Christ in their time of need.
Who is Empower Cocke County?
Vision Statement:
A collaborative effort of local churches to reach Cocke County with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Empower Cocke County desires to see positive life change by helping individuals cease destructive behavior through following the teaching of Jesus Christ. We intend to do this by calling local bodies of Christ together, working side by side in one accord, to accomplish what no one church can do alone.
What is the genesis of Love Your Neighbor?
Members of our community saw a tremendous need to connect volunteers with needs. The inflow of volunteers and resources has been tremendous, yet finding the families in need is complicated. Empower is uniquely positioned to utilize our network of churches and volunteers to coordinate efforts throughout the county.
